Hortons completes industrial sale and leaseback deal in Staffordshire

The independent Birmingham based property company has completed the acquisition of a 32,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse unit in a sale and leaseback deal with specialist cylinder mower manufacturer, Allett, on a 10-year lease.

Founded more than 50 years ago, Allet is a global leader in precision mowing technology for sports venues and premium lawns, and a previous recipient of the Queen’s Award for International Trade.

This latest acquisition consolidates Hortons’ position at Airfield Industrial Estate, which already comprises almost 500,000 sq ft of industrial space, storage compounds and approximately 30 acres of development land, purchased by the business in 2023.

Airfield Industrial Estate is a well established, multi-let business location, home to a mix of local, national and international occupiers, including JCB, Sandmaster UK, Mec Com, Agrii and Zilmet UK.

The deal builds on Hortons’ wider Midlands portfolio of more than 5.5 million sq ft of industrial, office, retail and leisure property, as the company continues to explore opportunities for further growth.

Richard Walker, of Hortons, said: “This strategic acquisition strengthens our presence at Airfield Industrial Estate and complements our growing industrial property portfolio.

“We see significant potential in the estate and are committed to enhancing its role as a thriving base for industry in Staffordshire.”
