Cops in Spain are probing a shocking death after a pensioner was found dead in a well with his private parts gruesomely mutilated. They believe the man’s genitals and penis were cut off with an electric pruner. The severed body parts discovered nearby in in Lorenzana, Leon. The horror scene has sparked off a wave of speculation among locals, with theories ranging from self-mutilation due to mental health struggles to sinister rituals or savage revenge acts. The victim, aged 63, was found with severe injuries to his stomach and missing organs, alongside the mutilated genitals, reports Diario de Leon. "Signs of extreme violence were evident," say cops, who are investigating whether the mutilation was carried out with an electric pruner, now being examined by forensic experts. The body was retrieved from the well in the courtyard of his home, and the house has been sealed off as detectives work to piece together what happened. Neighbours reveal the man had struggled with depression for some time and rarely appeared in public. "He kept to himself," one resident commented. Since the incident was discovered on Sunday, a heavy police presence has been deployed to secure the scene and gather evidence. The body has been transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine for a full autopsy, while authorities urge residents to remain discreet as investigations continue. While nothing has been ruled out, early suspicions lean towards suicide linked to mental health issues. Investigators are delving into his medical history, social contacts and last movements to understand the circumstances leading up to the tragedy. The case remains delicate, with officials stressing the need for thorough analysis before drawing conclusions. Elsewhere in Spain, in a separate incident cops have launched an investigation after a dying man is believed to have been abandoned in a Costa del Sol holiday resort after being thrown from a boat. He was pronounced dead after being pulled from the water. One unconfirmed local report said The vessel was a drug boat with four powerful engines, says one local report, although the Civil Guard has not yet made any official comment. The incident happened in Puerto Banus near Marbella at around midday today. Witnesses said the occupants of the semi-rigid boat abandoned the victim, pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, by a fuel station used by the rich and famous who frequent Puerto Banus in the peak summer season before speeding away from the scene.
