President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on Chicago Mayor Brandon’s vocal opposition to the enforcement operation being carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the Windy City.
“I said from day one, any elected mayor, any elective governor, I would think their number one responsibility is protection of their communities from crime. And President Trump made it clear where it comes to ICE. And this multi-agency task force you have going on throughout the country, we’re prioritizing public safety threats and national security threats. And it’s right what the left media says. I look at the numbers every day. 22 pages a day, I go through every day, every morning, first thing I do. And the rest, well, 70%, 7-0, of everybody ICE arrest is a criminal. But now the rest of them are not criminal enough, right? And the other 30 percent, a lot of them national security threats who don’t have a criminal history because they’re laying low to do the dirty thing. Then we got gang members, many gang members who probably don’t have a crime or history. But there is what we call final orders. These are people who had due process, a great tax per expanse, went to the whole system and immigration court and everything. They’re already deported, didn’t leave, and became a fugitive. So we’re arresting them too.”
Tom also reaffirms his commitment to deporting every criminal illegal immigrant detained by ICE. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
