With growth in new enrollment, new academic programs and student facilities, HPU continues to thrive as students and families from across the nation are attracted to The Premier Life Skills University. 9.4% growth in new enrollment HPU enrollment this fall has grown by an impressive 9.4%, exceeding national private university enrollment projections. This fall HPU welcomed these new students: 1,671 firstyear freshmen, 109 transfer students, and 150 graduate students. HPU’s total enrollment with undergraduate and grad programs grew from 6,335 last year to this year’s 6,550 students from 50 states and 50 countries. Law School and Dental School New Buildings Along with Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, and Physical Therapy professional programs at HPU, the Workman School of Dental Medicine and the Kahn School of Law opened this month two buildings with an investment of $95 million. The School of Optometry is also taking shape in Webb Hall as it prepares to welcome its first class in 2027. $100 Million Library Groundbreaking Construction of the John and Lorraine Charman Library is underway. The four-story facility will provide 150,000 square feet of academic study and research space for students. School of Engineering Earns ABET Accreditation As expected, The Webb School of Engineering’s programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering have been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Extraordinary Academics In addition to many academic and student life facilities, HPU also houses an interdisciplinary planetarium, an intercontinental conservatory, a learning cinema, a growing willed-body program, and a partnership with a children’s museum — all possible with the generous support of our donors. 99% Success Rate for Graduates makes HPU a National Leader in Outcomes HPU continues to outpace the national average by 14 points for graduates being employed or enrolled in graduate programs within 180 days of graduation. HPU Sets Record with Five Fulbright Recipients Five High Point University student scholars this year were recipients of the prestigious Fulbright fellowships. President Qubein – Longest Tenure in North Carolina At 21 years and counting, President Nido Qubein is the longest active-serving college president in the state, and the longest serving president in the history of HPU. Princeton Review Names HPU Best-Run College in the Nation, Again For the 2nd consecutive year, the Princeton Review has named High Point University the Best-Run College in the nation. HPU was named in the Top 10 to more Princeton Review “Best of” lists than any institution in North Carolina, including: Best College Dorms (#2), Most Active Student Government (#6), Best Career Services (#9), Most Beautiful Campus (#10), among several other recognitions in the Top 25 national categories. Leaders of World’s Biggest Brands to Speak at HPU Graduations The CEO’s of Walmart International, Cisco Systems, and Coca-Cola Consolidated will speak at HPU’s 3 commencement ceremonies for the 25-26 academic year. Kathryn McLay, president and CEO of Walmart International, will provide the undergraduate Commencement address. Chuck Robbins, chair and CEO of Cisco Systems, will provide the graduate student Commencement address.
