The actor also visited The Good Dairy Company in Kinsale on Friday, which staff described in a post on social media as an evening they will never forget.

“Not your typical Friday evening in Kinsale,” they posted.

“We never expected iconic actor and comedy legend Billy Murray to visit for ice cream. Billy was accompanied by award winning and New York Times bestselling author Tom Coyne,” the post read.

Murray has been accompanied by the author, with whom he shared an epic journey across Ireland back in 2021 while filming for their golf series The Links Life.

Druids Glen Golf Resort in Wicklow and Mount Falcon Hotel in Mayo were just some of the golf resorts the pair visited in 2021 as part of the golfing travel documentary which aired on YouTube.

In 2022, Murray attended the All-Ireland hurling quarter-final clash between Cork and Galway at Semple Stadium in Thurles with businessman and racehorse owner JP McManus.

Originally from Chicago, Murray has Irish ancestry and strong family connections to Ireland. His paternal grandfather hails from Cork, while his maternal ancestors were from Galway.
