Arc Raiders ARC Raiders, after a number of very high-profile, very well-played tests, is finally coming out in earnest tomorrow, Thursday, October 30. You can already pre-load the game as of this moment everywhere but the Epic Games Store, as there was some sort of issue there that Embark just announced yesterday. But everyone else? Arc Raiders You will also have to keep in mind that with the entire world getting online at once, there may be some sort of technical issues with logging on or server health or something along those lines. It’s a huge online launch, after all. For context, the open alpha test peaked at 189,000 Steam players two weeks ago. This is, however, when the game launches for $40, and we don’t know just how much that might reduce playercount. Or I suppose it’s not entirely impossible it goes up, if people were just waiting for the full release. It’s a top pre-ordered game on Steam after all. Everyone is expecting a successful launch for ARC Raiders based on its well-liked playtests so far. The longer-term health of a game in this space is another story, and the extraction genre is both small and has some hugely established players like Tarkov. Whether ARC breaks through more than temporarily remains to be seen, but early indications are that it might be able to pull that off.
