SCHOOL RESOURCES The Fayetteville School District's Outback Food Pantry is open Fridays whenever school is in session from 8-11:30 a.m at Ramay Junior High. Families with children enrolled in the district can pick up boxes with breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. Families unable to make it to a scheduled pick-up time can call a district social worker to arrange an alternative time. The Springdale School District's Treehouse Pantry has food, clothing, school materials and hygiene supplies. Pantry resources can be accessed through a student's school social worker, counselor or nurse, according to the district's website. The Rogers School District operates a food pantry in partnership with the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank at Rogers Heritage High School. District employees and student volunteers distribute food at Heritage at 4 p.m. on the second Friday of each month. School districts provide free and reduced lunch for students based on family income. School districts also began offering free breakfast this year following the passage of Arkansas Act 123 of 2025. LITTLE FREE PANTRIES Churches, health clinics and other organizations nationwide have "little free pantries" -- typically outdoor cabinets where individuals can drop off or pick up food.
