My Dad seemed indestructible, young at heart and full of life. We can’t believe he’s gone. “RIP Dad, you will be missed forever, always in my heart.” Brendan Fevola also gave an emotional statement. “Rest easy, Keith,” Brendan said. “We are going to miss your humour and quick wit. I’m gonna miss having a cold one with you mate. “Most of all the girls will miss the love their granddad gave them and Alex the love, friendship and trust you both had with each other till the very end, the long chats that ended in laughter. Love ya, mate.” Alex and Brendan divorced in 2014, but reconnected two years later and are now engaged again. They share four children, Mia, Leni, Lulu and Tobi, with Mia Brendan’s stepdaughter. Paying tribute to her grandfather, Mia wrote: “On Friday, heaven gained an angel. Rest in peace, granddad, love you forever. “Never failed to make us laugh. I’ll miss you coming over with home cooked meals, I’ll miss driving past you on the roads, I’ll miss popping in on the way home, I’ll miss hearing ‘hi love’ … I miss you already.” Leni said: “Forever missing you grandad, I love you.” And Lulu added: “You’re irreplaceable, I love you so much grandad.” While others sent messages of love and support to the family. “Sending our thoughts in a difficult time. He was a great bloke,” one commented on Fevola’s post. A second said: “Sending all my love my friend, may the waves of grief be gentle on your heart.” A third person wrote: “My heart goes out to you and family. So sorry honey. A lifetime of love never goes away.” Others wrote “sending our love” and “thoughts with you and your family”. And Australian actress Christie Hayes added: “So sorry Fev, love and condolences to your family”.
