Bengaluru: An unidentified man was allegedly caught filming women without their consent. The incident took place outside the Mall of Asia in Hebbal and quickly escalated, with bystanders also getting involved in the matter. According to a video circulating on social media, two women confronted the man after realising he was recording them. The situation turned tense when he allegedly pushed and molested the women before attempting to flee. “When we were coming out of the mall, he (the accused) was recording videos of girls, and he recorded our video too. We asked him what he was recording; he then molested us, touched us, and ran away… Auto drivers & other citizens outside the mall chased and caught him…,” the woman said in a video that is now being widely circulated on social media. The women immediately raised an alarm, drawing the attention of other visitors and shops staff. Passers-by and autorickshaw drivers nearby chased the accused down and prevented his escape. He was eventually handed over to the Kodigehalli police, along with his mobile phone. Police officials confirmed that they have received the video and are verifying details. The women have alleged that the man had filmed not just them but several other women and girls at the mall. They have demanded strict action to prevent such incidents, which have become a growing concern in the city.
