Hazbin Hotel season 2 has been released and is already receiving reviews, which have officially set a new record. The Rotten Tomatoes ratings are in for the first two episodes of Hazbin Hotel season 2, and the show is currently at 100%. Some critics have stated that "Hazbin Hotel is back with its stunning animation, amazing music, and killer voice acting." Also adding that the first episode alone is showing the series is back with a bang. The first season has a rating of 78% so already showing significant improvement. The adult animated musical comedy’s synopsis is that the daughter of Lucifer opens a rehabilitation hotel in an attempt to reduce Hell’s overpopulation and provide demons a chance at redemption. Voice actors include Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, and Vivienne Medrano. Spoilers ahead for Hazbin Hotel Season 1 In the finale of season 1, snake demon Sir Pentious sacrifices himself when faced with archangel Adam and ascends to Heaven. Season 2 begins by addressing the aftermath of season 1’s finale, as Heaven’s leadership is not too fond of their new arrival and attempts to rebel. Fans are also rooting for one of the show’s most popular ships, RadioApple (Lucifer and Alastor). In an interview, Medrano discusses their future on Hazbin Hotel and states, "Lucifer and Alastor's relationship is one of my favorites in the show to explore. I can't reveal what it is because that's really one of the ones that develops, I think, the most uniquely over the course of the whole series." A24 Studios owns and produces Hazbin Hotel alongside Medrano’s BentoBox Entertainment, and the series is currently distributed on Prime Video. Hazbin Hotel’s spinoff Helluva Boss is also coming to Prime Video, and the streamer has ordered two more seasons that will exclusively premiere on Prime. Medrano spoke about Prime Video’s involvement and stated, "I am so grateful to Prime Video for their continued support of our work on Hazbin Hotel and embracing Helluva Boss. I’m so excited for what this means for the continued rise of Indie animation!" Medrano is a YouTuber, animator, writer, director, and producer. She is known for her comic series Zoophobia, but also her animated shorts, including Silhouette, The Son of 666, and Bad Luck Jack.
