Time is running out for 18-year-olds to apply for the DiscoverEU programme – which offers free interrail passes to young people. 10.08am, 4 Nov 2025 Share options THERE ARE NINE days left for 18-year-olds in Ireland to apply for a free interrail pass. The DiscoverEU pass allows successful applicants, who can sign up on their own or in groups, to travel for up to 30 days across Europe from 1 March 2026. Advertisement The scheme, which has been running since 2018, aims to give young people the chance to explore and connect with others across the continent.
