Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who missed the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan and the ongoing white-ball series in Australia, is all set to make a comeback for Team India next month. According to a report in the Times of India on Wednesday (October 22), Pandya will spend the next four weeks at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru and is expected to be fit for the limited overs series against the South African team. The Proteas will travel to India next month and play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is against the Indian team. According to the available information, Pandya, who turned 32 on October 11, will not need surgery for the quadriceps injury and has already started his rehabilitation. He checked into the Centre of Excellence last week but took a few days’ break for Diwali. He rejoined the facility in Bengaluru on Wednesday again and resumed his training. As per TOI, “The timeline of his return was chalked out by the medical team last week, and the initial assessment didn’t raise any major concerns.” Hardik’s performance in Asia Cup 2025 Hardik played six matches for Team India in the 2025 edition of the Asia Cup in the UAE and scored 47 runs in four innings in addition to taking four wickets. He missed the final on September 28 against Pakistan in Dubai due to a niggle and was replaced by Rinku Singh in the playing XI. India-South Africa series schedule The India-South Africa series will start with Test matches. The first Test is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens from November 14 to 18, and Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium will host the second red-ball match from November 22 to 26. The first ODI will be played on November 30 in Ranchi, and the next two matches are scheduled in Raipur and Visakhapatnam on December 3 and 6, respectively. The T20Is will be played on December 9, 11, 14, 17 and 19 in Cuttack, Mullanpur, Dharamsala, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, respectively.
