Italy’s Giorgia Meloni wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday as he turned 75 years old. In a post on social media platform X, Meloni hailed PM Modi as a source of “strength and determination” and lauded his inspirational ability to lead millions of people. “Happy 75th birthday to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His strength, his determination, and his ability to lead millions of people are a source of inspiration. With friendship and esteem, I wish him health and energy to continue leading India toward a bright future and to further strengthen the relations between our Nations,” said Meloni. Born on September 17, 1950, in Gujarat’s Mehsana district, he served as the state’s Chief Minister for three consecutive terms from 2001 to 2014 before assuming office as India’s Prime Minister. Modi has been serving in the role since 2014 and is currently in his third term. The ruling BJP is launching a fortnight-long “Sewa Pakhwada” to mark PM Modi’s birthday, with BJP-run governments at the Centre and states lining up an array of outreach, welfare, development and awareness programmes. The initiatives range from health camps to cleanliness drives, get-togethers of intellectuals, and fairs to promote indigenous products across the country till October 2. Meanwhile, PM Modi is in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on his birthday to kick off a nationwide campaign focusing on the health and nutrition of women and children.
