DermaRite Industries, a New Jersey-based manufacturer, has expanded its earlier July recall of hand soap to now include 32 personal care products, warning they could be contaminated with a bacteria called Burkholderia cepacia complex. The bacteria can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections, especially in people with weakened immune systems or those caring for them. Even healthy people with small cuts or skin issues could develop infections if exposed. What Company Said The company said the move was taken out of “an abundance of caution” and clarified that its wound care and nutritional products are not part of this voluntary recall.
