Halsey Shuts Down Concertgoer Who Told Her ‘Stop Talking & Play’: ‘Who the F–k Do You Think You’re Talking To?’

Maya Dehlin Spach/WireImage Trending on Billboard Halsey might be welcoming fans back to the badlands, but that doesn’t mean people are allowed to have bad manners at their shows. Halsey Shares Health Update After ‘Minor’ Emergency Room Visit in Boston Halsey Distances Herself From Ye Before Performing ‘Tokyo Narita’ Freestyle: ‘It’s F— Kanye, OK?’ Halsey Shares Health Update Ahead of Her Tour: ‘Just Did Another Few Sessions of Chemo’ At the Nov. 3 show in Boston, a man in the audience interrupted the singer as she was speaking by telling her to “stop talking and play,” something Halsey didn’t take too kindly to. “Sorry? Who the f–k do you think you’re talking to?” the performer responded to the shouter in videos circulating from the night. “I’m going to play whatever the f–k I want to play,” Halsey continued, keeping their cool but appearing visibly annoyed. After the performance at MGM Music Hall at Fenway — where the About-Face Beauty founder played two back-to-back concerts as part of her ongoing Back to Badlands Tour — Halsey addressed the situation on X in the early morning hours Tuesday (Nov. 4). “I’ve been polite but won’t be caught dead letting a man tell me what I should play in my set,” the Americana star wrote. When a few fans expressed confusion as to what the post was referencing, Halsey clarified that the disruptive concertgoer had “told me to ‘stop talking and play __,’ … there’s always one.” “NOT IN MY HOUSE !!!!!!” the musician added. Halsey’s posts come shortly after they shared on Instagram Stories that a “minor medical emergency” had resulted in an ER visit — which lasted until 6 a.m. that morning — before the second Boston show on Monday. “I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight!” the artist wrote at the time, shouting out the helpful hospital staff who’d cared for her. “But if I’m pacing myself, that’s why!” Though Halsey didn’t share details about the small health scare, they’ve been open this past year about battling systemic lupus erythematosus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Shortly before kicking off the Back to Badlands trek — which celebrates the 10-year anniversary of debut album Badlands — the musician shared that she underwent “a few sessions” of chemotherapy.
