Halsey Hospitalized Weeks After Opening Up About Health Struggles

Halsey is reassuring fans she’s okay after an unexpected health scare after her performance the other night. The singer revealed she was hospitalized following her Sunday, November 2 performance in Boston during her Back to Badlands international tour. “Boston I’m gonna be honest with ya,” she wrote on her Instagram Story the next day, alongside a photo of herself in a towel headwrap. “After the show last night I was in the ER till 6 this morning.” While the 31-year-old didn’t go into detail about what caused the “minor medical emergency,” she made it clear she’s on the mend. “I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight! But if I’m pacing myself, that’s why!” she added. Halsey also thanked Massachusetts General Hospital for taking care of her, calling the staff “the absolute best team I’ve ever met.” The two-night Boston stop marked one of several highly anticipated shows on her tour, which revisits her 2015 breakout album Badlands. Despite the brief health setback, the Grammy-nominated artist kept her sense of humor and her determination to perform, signing off her message with: “LETS ROCK TONIGHT!” Just weeks before the incident, Halsey opened up about her ongoing battle with lupus and T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, a rare condition involving abnormal white blood cell growth. In a September TikTok video, she revealed she had undergone “another few sessions of chemo” and had a new port placed for treatment. “Had a new port placed,” she said, showing the bandages on her chest. 🎶 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎶 The treatments come just over a year after she publicly revealed her diagnosis in 2022. Lupus SLE is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation throughout the body, often affecting the joints, kidneys, blood cells, heart, and brain. Meanwhile, lymphoproliferative disorders stem from the overproduction of white blood cells, which can sometimes lead to more serious conditions such as lymphoma or leukemia. Despite the challenges, Halsey has remained determined to keep performing.
