The Ministry of Defense expressed its deep gratitude to the Mexican government for its unwavering support and concrete commitment to strengthening Haitian military capabilities. Based on the principles of solidarity, mutual respect, and cooperation, this collaboration represents an essential pillar in the reconstruction efforts of the Haitian Armed Forces.
“We thank our partner, Mexico, for demonstrating to the world that it is truly a good friend of Haiti. […] The soldier is always present and ready to intervene. The Army’s core values reflect the importance placed on the mindset of readiness and on readiness itself, which involves training, discipline, and commitment to accomplishing the mission. A soldier never abandons a mission. […]
[…] Obedience to orders is fundamental to military discipline, organization, and mission success. The army requires its members to obey all legitimate orders. Refusal to obey a legitimate order carries serious consequences.”
“I sincerely hope that all Haitians understand what the great country of Mexico is doing for us right now by agreeing to train 700 FAd’H recruits to end the insecurity crisis we have been facing for too long. This is very important to me personally,” he concluded. “Class by class, we will build our armed forces. A more powerful, more patriotic, more disciplined, more lethal, more advanced army, proud soldiers, ready to defend our homeland and our people […]”
