Bengaluru: Hon’ble Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Dharmasthala and Belthangady on Friday, 24 October 2025. The tour will include temple visits, school inaugurations, and key interactions with local authorities. Tour Itinerary Shri Kumaraswamy will depart from his residence in JP Nagar, Bengaluru at 8 am and arrive at HAL Airport by 8:30 am. He is expected to board a helicopter (VT BST / Agusta 109 Grand) to Dharmasthala, arriving at the helipad around 10 am. The Minister will then travel by road to Sowthadka Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Belthangady, where he will offer prayers and participate in a pooja from 10:15 am to 10:45 am. Following this, Shri Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the new building of Sri Mahaganapathi English Medium School in Southadka, Kokkada Grama, Belthangady Taluk, Dakshina Kannada, from 11 am to 12 pm. Later, the Minister will visit the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple from 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm for darshan and pooja. The afternoon schedule has a reserved slot from 1:30 pm to 2 pm, after which he will return to Dharmasthala helipad by 2:10 pm and depart for Bengaluru. Arrival at HAL Airport, Bengaluru is scheduled for 3:30 pm, followed by return to his residence in JP Nagar at 4:45 pm. Security and Protocol Shri Kumaraswamy will be accompanied by Shri Raghu Kumar, APS to the Minister. Security arrangements are under ‘Z’ Category, with DGCA guidelines strictly followed for air travel. Two protocol vehicles will be provided with essential amenities, and the Minister’s food preference is vegetarian. The Principal Secretary of DPAR (Protocol), Government of Karnataka, has been tasked with informing the BJP and JD(S) Karnataka State and District Presidents for necessary coordination during the visit.
