The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) is finalising a long-term strategic plan aimed at transforming the nation’s sports landscape and strengthening athlete development through to the 2032 Olympic Games. The initiative, supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through its Olympic Solidarity Programme, was presented to members of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC). It is designed to serve as a roadmap for sports development, athlete preparation, and administrative reform across two Olympic cycles. The plan focuses on four key pillars, enhancing athlete support, improving the capacity of national federations, upgrading leadership and administration, and boosting performance efficiency at regional and international competitions.
