Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose to release cyberpunk graphic novel in 2026

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose is expanding his creative horizons with the upcoming release of a graphic novel that shares its name with the band’s landmark debut album, NME reported.
“Axl Rose: Appetite for Destruction” will hit shelves early next year as a 106-page hardcover, marking Rose’s first foray into the comic book world. The project is a collaboration between Rose and Nathan Yocum, co-founder of the Sumerian record label, who co-wrote the story.
Yocum described the graphic novel as a “raw neon-noir fever dream, part rock anthem, part cyberpunk prophecy.” The tale reimagines Rose as a half-human, half-robot character living in a dystopian future.
“Axl and I built a world where rebellion isn’t just attitude, it’s survival,” Yocum said. “It’s Axl like you’ve never seen him before, on the front lines of a battle for humanity’s future.”
According to the outlet, Italian comic book artist Frank Mazzoli provides the artwork for the project, bringing the cyberpunk vision to life through illustrations
The graphic novel borrows its title from Guns N’ Roses’ seminal 1987 album, though the story ventures into science fiction territory rather than drawing directly from the band’s musical themes.
The publisher also announced various special editions of the book that can be pre-ordered. These include copies that come with a bookplate signed by Rose himself, as well as other items including a figurine, T-shirt, art book, collector’s coin and bandana.
