The delay of Grand Theft Auto VI has taken an unexpected turn, it was mentioned inside Poland’s Parliament. The long-awaited Rockstar title, originally set for May 2026, has now been pushed to November 19, 2026, and one Polish politician couldn’t resist bringing it up in an official session.The news caused a global storm online, but no one expected a political reaction. Witold Tumanowicz, a Polish MP from the Confederation Liberty and Independence party, stood up during an official session and delivered his concern with a completely straight face. He said, “As part of my parliamentary statement, I wanted to inform you about a very disturbing matter. An hour ago, Rockstar Games announced that the release of GTA VI will be postponed until next year. This is a huge scandal. Frankly, if people don’t take to the streets after something like this, I don’t know what will happen.”The room reacted with confusion and laughter. Still, for gaming fans, it was a hilarious and unexpected crossover between government and pop culture. On Reddit, users turned the whole thing into a meme fest. One joked, “The game needs some more polish and these guys got lost in translation.” Another said, “Drag Rockstar to the UN, we’re with you, Mr Baldie Polish.”Fans have been waiting more than a decade for GTA 6, making it one of the most anticipated video games in history. Every delay adds to the hype, and the frustration. Rockstar hasn’t shared a detailed reason for the shift, but many believe it’s to polish gameplay and meet the studio’s high standards. Still, that didn’t stop angry fans from venting online. Memes, mock protests, and jokes flooded social platforms. Some said they’d “lost all hope” for 2026, while others teased that even politicians couldn’t wait to play it. Rockstar’s first trailer for GTA 6, released in December 2023, became YouTube’s most-watched game trailer, surpassing Avengers: Infinity War.
