Greta Thunberg Fires Back at Trump's Anger Management Remarks

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Greta Thunberg has responded to Donald Trump’s statement suggesting that she has trouble managing her anger. Thunberg suggested that it might be Trump who needs help managing his temper.”I hear Donald Trump has once again expressed his flattering opinions on my character, and I appreciate his concern for my mental health,” said the 22-year-old Swedish activist in her Instagram post on Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025.”I would kindly receive any recommendations you might have to deal with these so-called ‘anger management problems,’ since — judging by your impressive track record — you seem to be suffering from them too,” Greta Thunberg quoted from Politico.Trump referred to Greta Thunberg as “angry,” and a troublemaker. Greta Thunberg was detained in Israel and eventually deported after being caught while volunteering for the Global Sumud Flotilla. Greta Thunberg and her cohorts from the 42 flotilla were attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza but were intercepted by Israeli forces.”She’s just a troublemaker. .. She’s no longer into the environment now. She has an anger management problem. I think she should see a doctor,” Trump told reporters. “Have you ever watched her? She’s a young person. She’s so angry, she’s so crazy.”This is not the first time Trump and the climate activist have clashed. Their previous spat occurred in June when Trump called Greta Thunberg “strange” and “angry” for her first mission to deliver aid to Gaza.During Trump’s first term in office, he mocked Greta Thunberg, who was 16 at the time, in a sarcastic manner, portraying her as a very happy young girl after Thunberg delivered a speech about the urgency of climate action at the United Nations.Thunberg, who first gained prominence for initiating the “Fridays for Future” climate strike in 2018, has now expanded her activism by supporting humanitarian efforts for Gaza. Greta Thunberg arrived in Greece on Monday after being expelled from Israel. She and around 160 other activists from the flotilla were greeted with cheers.Editor’s Choice: Donald Trump Criticizes Greta Thunberg’s Anger Management: ‘She Needs to See a Doctor’Click here to get the latest news updates from Tempo on Google News
