Grenada’s High Commissioner to Canada, His Excellency Sylvester Quarless paid a courtesy call on His Lordship Mark Sutcliffe, Mayor of the City of Ottawa, at the Ottawa City Hall recently. High Commissioner Quarless was given a brief tour of the historical Heritage Building on Laurier Avenue which has been the city’s primary administrative building since 2001. During the meeting, he used the opportunity to reemphasise Grenada’s commitment to strengthening relations with Canada throughout all levels of Government. The meeting is a continuation of the High Commissioner’s mandate to meet with various Canadian officials as he officially commences his tour of duty. The High Commission aims to attain deeper cooperation with the Canadian government and through public-private partnerships to harness collective strengths to advance the sustainable development of the citizens of Grenada. High Commissioner Quarless had the opportunity to sign the guest book at the Mayor’s Office and exchange gifts indigenous to each other’s cities.
