Greensboro Day students named National Merit semifinalists

Three Greensboro Day School seniors have been named semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship program.
Ethan Chien, Courtney Jacobs and Aiovanni Rosario are among the top 1% of students in North Carolina who took the Preliminary SAT as juniors. Finalists, to be announced in the spring, are in the running for $26 million in scholarships.
This places them among more than 16,000 nationally competing for 7,000 scholarships.
They join 17 high school students from six Guilford County Schools, who were also announced as semifinalists.
