Grammy-nominated Wolverhampton producer S-X launches new cookie shop in hometown

Located at 25 King Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1ST, Meltdown Cookies officially opens its doors on Saturday, November 1, from 10am, welcoming customers daily 10am–7pm. To celebrate launch day, 300 free chocolate chip cookies will be hidden across the city, ready to be discovered. Fans can follow TikTok clues to discover special cookie cards, redeemable in-store for a free cookie, promising a viral city-wide buzz and transforming the streets into the ultimate treasure hunt. Born in lockdown 2020, Meltdown started when S-X began baking at home and cookies stuck. Years and countless test batches later, the recipe is perfected and the concept is ready for its hometown debut: a welcoming hangout that blends culture, community and indulgent, freshly-baked cookies. With exclusive merch, music and all-round good vibes, Meltdown is designed as a feel-good hangout where fans can come together, let loose, and have a “meltdown” in the best possible way. S-X says: “Wolverhampton has given me everything from my first job at the Wolves shop to my first plays on local radio. During lockdown I found a new way to create: cookies. I’ve poured the same obsession I bring to music into Meltdown, testing, tweaking and tasting until it felt just right. This shop is for the city that raised me: a place to link up, grab something unreal, and feel at home.” The Meltdown Cookies menu features freshly baked, loaded cookies served all day, with a Classic range of six everyday favourites priced at £3 including Chocolate Chip, Biscoff, White Chocolate & Raspberry, d’Oh!, Oatmeal & Raison and Oreo along with a Premium range of weekly rotating specials from £4. Customers can also enjoy indulgent milkshakes (£6), a selection of hot and iced coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks, as well as cookie boxes for sharing or gifting, priced between £13 and £45. Vegan options are also available. Meltdown Cookies has also partnered with Kelly’s of Cornwall, serving the Meltdown x Kelly’s scoop and the viral ice-cream sandwich, two warm cookies hugging a generous scoop of Kelly’s ice cream, made with authentic Cornish clotted cream for a naturally rich, luxurious taste. As a Wolves Ambassador, S-X is passionate about giving back to the city and its community. Meltdown Cookies is proud to support Wolves Foundation, the club’s official charity, dedicated to improving physical and mental health, personal development and life opportunities across Wolverhampton. Opening up about your mental health is never easy, find out more here. More details about the collaboration to be revealed soon.
