Govt returns Rs3.45b to Hajj pilgrims 2025

ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that over 66,000 pilgrims who performed Hajj in 2025 will receive refunds totaling Rs3.45 billion. The refund process will be completed by October 31, with funds transferred directly to the pilgrims’ bank accounts. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, while addressing a press conference, said the government aimed to minimize Hajj expenses and improve management each year. He revealed that savings worth billions were achieved during the 2025 Hajj operations due to cost reductions in accommodation, food, and transport services in Saudi Arabia. These savings will now be distributed among pilgrims based on the level of facilities they used.
