Govt. gives nod for temporary inter-local transfers of employees on deputation basis

The State government has decided to consider the requests from employees for inter-local cadre temporary transfers on deputation basis.

The transfers will be made initially for a period of two years extendable by one more year duly considering the hardship of the employee. In the order issued on Tuesday, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao said the decision was taken following a recommendation made by the Cabinet sub-committee which was constituted to examine the problems of the employees due to application of GO 317.

The Cabinet sub-committee recommended that some requests involving hardship could be considered for temporary for inter-local transfers without any change in the local cadre of the employees subject to availability of clear vacancies in the requested local cadre. “Such transfers can be for a tenure of 2 to 3 years so that this facility can be given to other applicants too by rotation,” the Cabinet panel said, adding the final decision could be left to the departments for necessary examination and disposal of such requests after the General Administration department issues guidelines.

The arrangement would however be applicable to those employees who were shifted or transferred from their then existing workplace during the process of final allotment of employees and also those not benefitted or re-allotted.
