Actor Govinda has been hospitalised after he was unconscious on late Tuesday evening, his secretary Shashi Sinha confirmed to mid-day. The actor complained of uneasiness before falling unconscious. This happened around 10 pm, post which he was taken to Criti Care hospital, Sinha told mid-day. A neurologist will check on him to find out why the episode happened, Sinha further informed. Theres no clarity on how long the actor will remain hospitalised. Govindas associate Lalit Bindal confirmed the news Govindas associate and legal adviser, Lalit Bindal, confirmed to mid-day that the actor has been hospitalised. According to Lalit, around 8:30 pm yesterday, Govinda suddenly lost consciousness at his home. Initially, doctors had prescribed him medication, but when his condition worsened, he was taken to Criticare Hospital in Juhu around 1:00 am. It was Lalit who took Govinda to the hospital. He said, all necessary medical tests are currently being conducted, and Govinda is under the supervision of doctors. Last October, the actor was admitted to the same hospital after being shot in his right leg. He had undergone surgery. The incident had happened at his Juhu residence. Govindas personal life controversy and work front Besides his health, Govinda has remained in the news, owing to his personal life. Recently, the actor had tendered a public apology to an astrologer after his wife, Sunita Ahuja, criticised him on a podcast. According to the actor, the astrologer had stood by him in his difficult times. Previously, Ahuja also opened up about their marital problems. Govinda, who was seen on The Great Indian Kapil Show earlier this year, is expected to have a string of releases, including Len Den: Its All About Business, Bayan Haath Ka Khel, and Pinky Darling. The actor rose to prominence in the late 1980s and 1990s with movies like Ilzaam (1986), Love 86 (1986), and Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna (1994). His collaborations with directors such as David Dhawan yielded hits like Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Raja Babu, and Partner. Beyond comedy, Govinda has delivered outstanding performances in more serious or dramatic roles, demonstrating his versatility throughout his more than three-decade career. Rangeela Raja, his last film, was released in 2019.
