Hyderabad: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma urged students to lead social change by applying knowledge to enhance agricultural productivity, technology, and research. Governor Varma, who visited Kaveri University and Kaveri Seeds Company on Friday, toured various laboratories, including entomology, pathology, soil science, breeding, and physiology. He explored an exhibition showcasing diverse technologies such as drone technology, robotics, 3D printing, AR & VR models, and agricultural innovations developed by students. After visiting the vermi compost programmes, he launched the newly established Integrated Research Center and visited facilities such as tissue culture, genomics, speed breeding, plant health labs, and the gene bank. Chancellor GV Bhaskar Rao highlighted the institution’s proposals and programmes aimed at the holistic development of students. Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao mentioned that collaborative research projects with Kaveri Seeds Company would significantly strengthen the State’s agricultural sector.
