To address the persistent water crisis in Gwadar, the Balochistan government has accelerated water supply operations from multiple sources to ensure steady and equitable distribution across the city and surrounding areas. According to the district administration, over 1 million gallons of water were supplied from the Shadi Kaur Dam via pipelines. In comparison, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) transported 1.098 million gallons from Mirani Dam to the Airport Pumping Station using 95 tankers. Simultaneously, the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Desalination Plant delivered 1.051 million gallons to residents in the Old Town. The Public Health Engineering (PHE) department distributed 136,000 gallons to villages, including Chab Kalmati, Chab Rindkani, and Ngor Sharif, through 27 tanker trips. Additionally, 182,500 gallons were supplied from Kalato to Jiwani via 21 tanker trips, while another 250,000 gallons reached residents through the Suntsar–Plerri pipeline, benefiting nearby areas such as Ganz, Pasni, and Pindwan. Officials stated that these coordinated measures are part of a broader strategy to stabilise the region’s water supply and ensure fair access for all communities. Continuous monitoring of distribution channels is underway to guarantee timely delivery and effective crisis management.
