Black Friday is a great time to look out for phone deals. And as part of our scouting around for the top early Black Friday phone deals, we came across this offer on a recent foldable phone that we simply had to flag. It's for the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which is going for $1,325 at Amazon. That's 26% off the original price, and considering there are no strings attached like trade-ins or carrier restrictions, it's a great offer. That said, this isn't the lowest we've seen the Pixel 9 Pro Fold go for - that was back in August when the phone hit a mere $1,100. Keep that in mind as you weigh up pulling the trigger on this deal now or holding off in the hope of deeper discounts down the line. Another minor issue to be aware of: this deal only offers the phone in Obsidian Black - there's no sign of the Porcelain white colorway on this particular store page. The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold was one of the best foldable phones we'd tested, until the Pixel 10 Pro Fold came along to replace it. But it's still as capable as ever, and is only getting smarter thanks to Google now making some of the Pixel 10 series' unique software and AI features available to older Pixels. This foldable Pixel features an 8-inch inner display and a 6.3-inch outer display, both using Google's bright, Super Actua screen technology. It also features a capable camera selection consisting of 48MP main, 10.5MP ultrawide, 10.8MP 5x telephoto and a pair of 10MP selfie cameras, giving much more range and versatility than other foldable phones. There's a pretty good-sized battery on the inside too, helping it keep up with even the latest folding models. Google's Tensor G4 isn't designed for speed in the same way that the chips inside foldable phones from brands like Samsung are. But the Tensor is still brilliant for running Google's many on-board AI experiences. This includes abilities that came with the phone at launch, like Add Me for including yourself in more photos and Pixel Screenshots for cataloguing your screen captures, but as I just alluded to, the November 2025 Pixel Feature Drop update has added even more. Google's latest goodies, such as the Pixel Journal app, message notification summaries more languages for Pixel Recorder summaries and in-call notes and scam detection, are all coming to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold after debuting on the Pixel 10 series. And with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold promised to get full Android upgrades until 2031, this library of AI powers is destined to grow even more.
