Google Drive gives Dropbox users an easy out with migration tool

Given the nature of cloud storage for Google Workspace accounts, data migration is a massive undertaking when there are no official tools to get the job done. The new migration feature is designed to give Dropbox users an easy way to transfer users and files to Google Drive in one fell swoop. Google announced that it would be rolling out an official process for moving Dropbox files and users to Google Workspace accounts. The process operates similarly to Google Takeout, which enables the extraction of user data. It’s similar in the sense that everything happens in the backend, and the final result comes after a little bit of waiting. Once a Dropbox account is connected, personal and team folders can be selected for migration. While the move is in process, users will get a status report that details which files have moved successfully and which ones have failed or thrown errors. The report also details a live count of data moved and how long the process has taken up to that point. The tool will be located in Menu > Data > Data Import & export > Data Migration. The new migration tool is gradually rolling out now for Google Workspace users from Business Starter to Enterprise editions. More on Google:
