The signature golf championship at the 1901-founded lake side Entebbe club; the Stanbic Entebbe Open returns early October 2025.
All clusters of golfers are well catered for; from the gross, professionals to the subsidiaries per gender from the 5th to 9th October.
The title sponsors of this annual event have come big with commitment to bankroll the championship full board, for the third year in a row.
The tournament has witnessed an increment in the kitty for the professionals to Ug.Shs 50,000,000 (from last year’s Ug.Shs 40,000,000) and Ug.Shs 15,000,000 (from Ug.Shs 5,000,000) for the gross players, as announced during a press conference at UMOJA House, Nakasero on Thursday, 25th September 2025.
Top professionals in the country as Ronald Rugumayo, Tadeo Rodell Gaita, Marvin Kibirige, Abraham Ainamani, David Kamulindwa, Vincent Byamukama, Herman Deco Mutebi and others will compete in the 72 holes challenge for 4 rounds.
The gross players will be led by newly crowned Uganda Amateurs’ Open winner Joseph Cwinya-ai with a galaxy of local stars from the different clubs will play 54 holes in three rounds as they battle for points on the World Amateur Golf Ranking System.
