Golden Retriever Exhausted After Owners’ Wedding-His Reaction Melts Hearts

In a viral TikTok video, a woman from Boston, Massachusetts, shows what her golden retriever did after a long weekend of being the center of attention at her wedding, and internet users can’t cope with it. The clip, shared on Saturday under the username @wally.meets.world, shows the pup sitting in the back of the poster’s car, sleeping with his head down, exhausted from all the love she received from family and friends who attended. “My dog after being the center of attention all weekend at our wedding,” the caption says. “It’s exhausting being this cute.” Wally's owner, Julia, told Newsweek that Wally was the "best boy" in the wedding, and he even walked down the aisle with his dad. “After the ceremony he signed our marriage license. We chose our venue, Audrey's Farmhouse in Wallkill, New York, because they are dog friendly, and chose to get married in New York because they only require one witness to sign your marriage certificate but there are two lines so we could have Wally stamp his paw as our second witness.” The thoughtful dog parents also got him his own doggie wedding cake that said "I do too," and did a private last dance with him at the end of the reception, before he got to say good night to all of the guests. “We also had custom dog treat favors from Dog Eat Cake for our guests to take home to their pups who ‘couldn't make it to the pawty.’ They were engraved with sayings like ‘love Wally’ and ‘I do too.' We also had golden retriever motifs throughout the night on napkins and other things! He was the star of the show.” Dogs in America are becoming increasingly spoiled. According to Forbes, owners from Florida are the ones that spoil their pups the most. In the Sunshine State, about 66.5 percent of owners spend more money on their dog’s health and grooming than they do on their own. Across the country, 62.7 percent of owners but their dogs presents for the holidays, 39.8 percent prepare them a special meal, and 36.2 percent include them in their holiday cards. About 22.2 percent of dog owners spend more money on gifts for the dog than on gifts for friends and family. The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 1 million views and 267,500 likes on the platform. One user, Ajupiter8, commented: “Just reliving everything once again and telling himself to never forget this memory.” Mychonly said: “So rare to see low battery golden retriever.” Fernanda Márquez added: “Carrying the success of a wedding on his shoulders.”
