Golden Glory for India Pickleball World Cup 2025: Amrita Mukherjee and Suraj Desai Clinch Gold in Mixed Doubles

India’s dominance at the Pickleball World Cup 2025 continued as Amrita Mukherjee and Suraj Desai struck Gold in the Under 34 Mixed Doubles (5.0) category, defeating Venezuela’s Arianna Raga and Vladimir Orellana 15–11 in a thrilling final at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Indo duo showed remarkable chemistry on court, blending composure with aggression in crucial rallies. Despite trailing early in the first half, Mukherjee and Desai clawed their way back as their patience paid off. The win was mainly symbolic for Amrita Mukherjee, who had set her sights on the top podium even before departing for the World Cup. Before leaving for Florida, Amrita had spoken exclusively to Pickleball Now about her ambitions for the World Cup. “Right now, I want to play brave and make every point count. And of course, as a player, the goal is to go for Gold,” she had said. In Florida, she did exactly that, playing bravely, making every point count, and ultimately turning her words into Gold.
