Gogglebox Elaine's life now after 'bleed on brain' and horrifying health diagnosis

A Gogglebox personality previously endured a 10-week 'brain bleed' and courageously spoke about the frightening experience - but what's happened to her since? Former music teacher Elaine became part of the long-running Channel 4 show back in 2023 alongside her son Seb. It's safe to say they quickly won over viewers with their on-screen chemistry. During 2024 though, concerned fans wondered whether Elaine and Seb, who hail from the Forest of Dean, had departed the programme after vanishing from our screens. Nevertheless, in 2025, Elaine courageously revealed details about her shocking health crisis following a haemorrhagic stroke that resulted in bleeding on her brain. Speaking in May, Elaine disclosed how she suddenly experienced complete vision loss whilst driving. Prior to this frightening episode, Elaine had been experiencing memory lapses - though she put this down to advancing age and exhaustion, reports the Mirror . Yet, she was unaware that she had sustained brain bleeding from a haemorrhagic stroke, which had been present for 10 weeks before the incident occurred. Describing how she felt "completely shocked and heartbroken" upon learning the news, Elaine told Need To Know: "I struggled to make sense of the world around me." Elaine continued: "They told me part of my brain had been irreversibly damaged. And as there wasn't anything they could do, this was just who I was now." Her diagnosis came in April 2024 after undergoing a CT scan and MRI. Elaine has subsequently developed double vision and left-side paralysis. She was forced to surrender her driving licence and abandon her career as well. She further elaborated on her health situation: "It's had such a huge impact on my life. I've had to accept that I must use a wheelchair for anything other than moving very short distances." These days, Elaine keeps her followers in the loop about her daily life through her social media page, all while raising disability awareness. Recently, she shared an experience on Instagram about attending a concert. She expressed: "I've gone to gigs all my adult life. What stops me now? I can't stand anymore, I can't stand for long periods of time." Gogglebox is available to watch on Channel 4 online
