A cherished Gogglebox favourite has left supporters showering her with praise after flaunting her dramatic weight loss whilst sporting a sleek black swimsuit. Amy Tapper became part of the long-running Channel 4 programme during its inaugural series in 2013, alongside her entire family: father Jonathan, mother Nikki and elder sibling Josh. The household quickly established themselves as audience darlings through their witty observations, consistently delivering laughs to viewers. However, the family departed the programme not long after Josh left Gogglebox in 2017 to pursue a career in politics, whilst Amy stepped away in 2018 to feature on Celebs Go Dating. Following her departure from Gogglebox, Amy has experienced a dramatic body transformation and has been sharing updates of her progress with followers, reports the Manchester Evening News . The television personality has successfully shed an impressive seven stone, going from a size 26 down to 18 in just we months. Earlier this week, Amy posted to her Instagram account with a breathtaking photograph of herself in swimwear. The TV personality looked absolutely radiant as she struck a pose on a balcony donning the sleek black piece. Her caption read: " Mirror Mirror on the wall.." Admirers quickly filled the comments with adoring messages. One devoted fan commented: "You're looking bloody fantastic! Massive well done to you." Another added: "Stunning." A third gushed: "You've done so well you look amazing." Mirroring these sentiments, someone else declared: "Unreal!" Amy has managed to shed an impressive 7.5 stone and drop four dress sizes within a year, thanks to her personal trainer and the use of Mounjaro. The telly star, who once tipped the scales at 23 stone and wore a size 26, decided to take control after 12 years of unsuccessful dieting. During her appearance on Good Morning Britain last month, Amy confessed: "It was just ongoing for years and years. I'd been overweight since I was about six or seven years old, and that was when the doctor visits started, seeing what was wrong, and no one could quite put their finger on it. "I just started dieting, a number of diets, tried everything, and it would be the same thing over and over again. I would lose about two to three stone. Once I got to that three-stone mark, nothing more. "I just got to the point of being fed up. I said, 'I want to have surgery, I want to wake up tomorrow and not be like this. I can't do it anymore'. It's all a circle, isn't it? It's a constant vicious cycle." Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
