Mick Fanning and his partner Breeana Randall have revealed that they are in the process of building a sensational new mansion on the Gold Coast. Earlier this year, Fanning and Randall, a model from the US, sold their stunning three-storey beachfront home on the Gold Coast for $16.05million, having bought the property back in 2011 for $3.25m. In 2024, it was also revealed that Fanning had sold his $3.3m three-bedroom Queensland home on the market, which also comes with its own skate ramp. But now the couple are set to move into an incredible new beachside mansion on the Gold Coast, with construction works currently underway on the property. Fanning and Randall, who have two children together, moved out of their previous home after they were the target of a stalker back in 2020. Sarah Anne Foote pleaded guilty in 2021 to unlawful stalking and breaking into the Australian surfing great’s house. She had also delivered several worrying letters to Fanning, some of which detailed her fixation with him while adding that she ‘occasionally wanted to kill him.’ He had found that she had broken into his house after he had been overseas on a three-week trip. 'When someone walks into your house, it's concerning, so that's why I called the police,' he told the Gold Coast Bulletin. 'I know the details of it, I was there, I look after people in my house and that's what I am doing. 'It is what it is, it's done, she was arrested. It's in the court's hands, it's in the police's hands.' Foote was sentenced to 15 months in jail. Fanning, who retired from professional surfing in 2018, purchased a 787 square metre plot of land on the beachfront back in 2023 for $6.54m. A four-bedroom property had occupied the land previously but that was later demolished, in preparation for Fanning’s new home. The project, which is being called ONDA, after the Spanish word for ‘wave’, is being designed and built by luxury property designer Graya. The stunning property features outdoor living areas that offer up some stunning views of the Gold Coast. Renders show that the house will feature a pale stone render that is combined with a range of flower beds that will add to the calming and natural feel of the home. Meanwhile, the luxury beachside mansion will also include a bar, a sauna and ice baths. ‘Positioned on a rare beachside site, ONDA is a celebration of coastal connection and barefoot luxury, where design flows as effortlessly as the tide,’ Graya director Rob Gray explained. “ONDA captures the rhythm of the ocean and the relaxed energy of life by the sea.’ Fanning, a three-time World Surfing Champion, earned an estimated $2.8m during his surfing career. His net worth is understood to have grown to between $13m and $20m, thanks to his multiple business ventures, including his Balter Brewing Company.
