The Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC), in collaboration with Trinidad and Tobago native Franklyn Boodram, is attempting to bring the GT3 racing series – GT Challenge de Las Americas – to the South Dakota Circuit in 2026. The move will be spearheaded by Boodram, who is partnering with the local racing authority to secure an initial three-year series for the category. Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Boodram disclosed that he has the franchise for the GT3 Challenge in the Caribbean and will work with Guyana so that the event can be staged here. He noted that the lack of quality facilities in his homeland to stage the series is the primary reason for the decision to utilise Guyana.
