The BetMcLean Cup reaches the second round stage tonight and there are some mouth-watering ties. The headline act is undoubtedly at the Oval where Glentoran host fellow Belfast side Crusaders in an all-Premiership tie. The winners of this season's cup will go straight into the newly rebranded BetMcLean European Play-off Final at the end of the league campaign which will put a much sought after European spot just one game away. Two Premiership sides fell by the wayside in the first round. Stuart King's Newry City, who accounted for Portadown, have been handed a home tie against Glenavon. Armagh City, victors over Carrick Rangers, got their reward in the form of a trip to take on current Premiership leaders Coleraine at the Showgrounds. Tournament debutants Strabane Athletic have been handed a tough trip to Solitude to lock horns with holders Cliftonville. There are eight second round ties down for decision this week, six tonight and two on Wednesday night. Larne host Bangor, while Glentoran entertain Crusaders in the only all-Premiership ties on Tuesday. Elsewhere tonight, Moyola Park travel to Dungannon Swifts, in-form Coleraine host Armagh City and Ballymena welcome Newington Youth to the Showgrounds. On Wednesday night, Linfield make the cross city trip to play the H&W Welders while Strabane Athletic make a cross country trip to Belfast to play Cliftonville.
