Glam gran who 'looks 20 years younger' than her age shares tips to stay youthful

A glamorous grandmother has revealed her secrets to staying youthful after countless people have remarked on her stunning appearance, insisting she looks to be in her fifties rather than her actual age of 72. Lorraine Cassar appears remarkably young, often mistaken for her 55-year-old daughter Sherree's sibling - a feat every mature woman dreams of achieving. Lorraine commands attention wherever she ventures, owing to her age-defying looks, and the former carer has several recommendations for those hoping to replicate her success. Fortunately, her approach focuses on fundamental principles rather than elaborate skincare routines and endless beauty procedures. According to her, the key elements that maintain her youthful glow include applying SPF, using an affordable moisturiser, maintaining a nutritious diet rich in fruits and vegetables, and abstaining from intimate relationships. "I use face sunscreen, a cheap basic drugstore moisturiser, and I don't overcomplicate my skin care routine," Lorraine, from Melbourne, Australia, explained. She also mentioned consuming "lots of fruits and veggies," whilst noting that "not getting laid in 20 years has helped". "I don't really hang onto people complimenting me and saying I look younger because I don't like too much attention," she insisted. Discussing the similarity to her daughter, Lorraine continued: "A waiter told me and my daughter could pass for siblings just the other day. "It's not the best compliment for Sherree because there's an 18-year age gap". Lorraine's granddaughter, Paris, 26, reveals that her friends are always taken aback when they discover her grandmother's true age. Paris shared: "Anytime I introduce friends or colleagues to her, they're always amazed, even when talking to her, cause she's so young at heart and quick-witted. "There have been so many instances when people have mistaken her for my mum. "It's also reassuring to see that I'll age gracefully. "People often comment on how solid my genetics are and tell me not to worry about ageing." She continued: "My grandma doesn't just look young and beautiful, she radiates it through her attitude and kindness. "She is an incredible inspiration, and I count my blessings every day that she is my grandma and the matriarch of the most entertaining, charismatic, incredible family that I've been born into. "She brought my mum into this world and shaped both of us into the courageous women we are today". The NHS has shared seven ways to age (almost) in reverse. They say that one of the most important things that you can do to age well is to get a good amount of sleep. Adults should be getting between seven and nine hours of sleep per night. You should strive for a specific balance of nutrients, most of which can be derived from a plateful of colourful foods and a palm-sized serving of lean protein with each meal. That’s not to say that you can’t indulge in the occasional treat as long as you’re smart about your choices. It's also important to stay active, both physically and mentally. Adults should aim to: You can also achieve your weekly activity target with
