Gina Carano First Show Since 'Mandalorian' Is 'Logan Reign' From 'Get Out' Team

EXCLUSIVE: Gina Carano is about to hit the streets of Las Vegas.
Six weeks after The Mandalorian star saw her discrimination lawsuit against Disney and the Kathleen Kennedy-run Lucasfilm settled in her favor after being fired in 2021 from the Star Wars series, Sin City-raised Carano is stepping into the vigilante shoes of Logan Reign.
“Logan Reign is someone I have been craving to bring to life,” Carano told Deadline today of the burgeoning project.
“I’m bringing every ounce of who I am as an actress and what I have learned in this industry to this role and at this moment I have a lot to give,” says the actress who played Marshal for the New Republic Cara Dune for two seasons on Mandalorian. “Returning to Las Vegas which is its own fantastic character in itself and also Las Vegas being the place I grew up is going to be exhilarating and I’ll feel very much at home filming there. Lights, camera, action, art, grit, Vegas has it all. I’m giddy at the possibilities.”
Developed by Get Out and BlacKKKlansman producers Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick’s Impossible Dream Entertainment, Logan Reign finds Carano playing a Vegas legal assistant in her day job and a crime fighter by night. The Redicks have partnered with Straightwire Entertainment Group’s Rob Weston, who is also former MMA fighter Carano’s manager, for the project.
“Logan Reign is the kind of bold, adrenaline-driven series we can’t wait to bring to audiences with Gina and it’s destined to become her most iconic character yet,” stated the Redicks of Deadpool and Fast & Furious 6 alum Carano and the project. “From the very start, we knew Gina was Logan Reign,” added Weston. “She has the intensity and heart to make this a visceral and thrilling ride audiences won’t forget.”
Working on various Daily Wire and Brietbart News backed projects while fighting Disney in her Elon Musk-backed lawsuit, Carano also looks poised to return to the House of Mouse — be it in a galaxy far far away or elsewhere. While many details of the settlement this summer with the Bob Iger-run media giant were confidential, one clear win for Carano was a form of reinstatement.
“With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future,” Disney said on August 7 when both sides filed to have the Haywire lead’s lawsuit dismissed.
That’s maybe why they call it the Happiest Place on Earth.
