Jaxson Dart is about to get his first taste of life on the road in the NFC East. But Dart, the Giants’ rookie quarterback, is embracing the rivalry with the Eagles — and the “hostility” that is sure to come his way on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. “It’s going to be intense for sure. I can’t wait to go out there and compete and feel the hostility in the air,” Dart told reporters on Wednesday. “With the rivalry between the two organizations ... I kind of compare it to an SEC rivalry. Really excited for the atmosphere.” Dart, the first-round rookie out of Ole Miss, has played in hostile environments before. In 2023 and 2024, Dart’s Rebels went on the road to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Florida. That experience should help Dart as he and the 2-5 Giants try to land their first road win of the season and upset the Eagles on Sunday. It helps, too, that Dart already has a win over the Eagles, beating Philadelphia, 34-17, at MetLife Stadium two weeks ago. Dart was impressive in his NFC East debut, accounting for 253 total yards (195 passing, 58 rushing) and two touchdowns with zero turnovers. But there is something to be said for Dart having fans at his back when he handed the Eagles (5-2) their most humiliating loss in some time. When Dart steps into the Linc, the 22-year-old will be booed and heckled like he hasn’t been before this season. And how Dart handles the atmosphere on Sunday could go a long way in shaping how he’s viewed so early in his young NFL career. Asked if he enjoys playing the villain, Dart smiled. “Yeah, I think a little bit,” Dart said. “I think anybody finds it enjoyable when you’re able to win games on the road. That’s something that we haven’t done yet, so we’re still chasing that. And I’m just excited for the environment.”
