New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart had an overwhelmingly positive NFL debut in the team’s lone win of the season thus far in Week 4 over the Los Angeles Chargers. But he did suffer a rather concerning hamstring injury in the process, which is seemingly still plaguing him a bit in the lead up to the team’s Week 5 game.
Fortunately for Giants fans, Dart was able to practice on Wednesday without any restrictions, according to head coach Brian Daboll. But that doesn’t mean that Dart isn’t still feeling the effects of the hamstring injury, which was made evident by a video that emerged from New York’s practice on Wednesday from team reporter Jordan Raanan.

In the video shared on X from Raanan, Dart could be seen jogging and stretching without issue. But he did appear to have quite a bit of tape on the back of his left leg, which may very well be because of the hamstring injury.

The bright side of this is obviously that Dart is able to take part in practice without any issue. But as the week goes on, it will be interesting to monitor whether we see any built-in rest days for Dart later in the week to be cautious of the hamstring injury that he is facing.
Interestingly, Dart’s own injury may not even be the biggest question surrounding him going into the team’s Week 5 matchup against the winless New Orleans Saints.
That is because Dart will now need to adjust to life without injured star wide receiver Malik Nabers, who is set to miss the remainder of the 2025 season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 4.
Life will surely get harder for Dart without Nabers in the fold moving forward. So hopefully, he is at least at full health heading into Sunday’s matchup so he can focus on building chemistry with the remaining wide receivers in New York instead of his own injury concerns.
