Giants' Malik Nabers Gets Concerning Injury Update From Sports Doctor

The New York Giants suffered what could very well be a major injury during the first half of their matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. Unfortunately, star wide receiver Malik Nabers went down with what appeared to be a serious knee injury.
In the second quarter, Nabers went to jump for a deep ball thrown by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. As he planted his right leg to jump, his knee appeared to buckle and he went down in pain.
Quickly, the Giants’ star was taken off of the field on a cart.

While it’s too early to speculate about the injury, it didn’t look good. New York will have to run tests on Nabers, but there seems to be a good chance that the injury could end up being severe.
Adding to that likelihood, a notable sports doctor took to X to share his opinion on the Nabers injury. He believes that the injury could end up being a torn ACL.
Dr. Evan Jeffries shared that he believes the ACL is very much in play for Nabers. He hopes to be wrong with his initial diagnosis, but the play looks very bad.
Needless to say, this is a crushing blow for the Giants’ offense. Nabers is the clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver for Dart and has become one of the top up-and-coming stars in the entire NFL.
Originally drafted by New York with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Nabers put on a show during his rookie year. He racked up 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. In the first three games this season, he caught 16 passes for 251 yards and two more scores.

Hopefully, the 22-year-old star gets a better update than the original expectation. Nabers would miss the rest of the season if he did suffer a torn ACL.
Expect to hear more news in the near future about the Giants’ star. Head coach Brian Daboll has already confirmed the obvious that Nabers will not be returning to today’s game against the Chargers. More information should be known about the injury either later on today or tomorrow.
UPDATE: NFL insider Ian Rapoport has reported that Nabers is believed to have suffered a torn ACL.
