The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has announced plans to collaborate with a U.S. delegation on Ghana’s Digital Jobs Agenda, as part of broader efforts to strengthen the nation’s digital transformation drive. During a meeting in Accra, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), urged the visiting delegation to develop concrete partnership proposals that align with Ghana’s national digital priorities. He emphasized that all future collaborations must be consistent with the country’s Digital Transformation Blueprint, which focuses on key areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and business process outsourcing (BPO). The U.S. delegation was led by Mr. Fred Opoku, Chief Executive Officer of Chainbridge Consultant Group (VA, USA). Also in attendance was Mr. Mekala Reddy, President of Infodat and Vice Chairman of the Texas–Africa Chamber of Commerce, along with other representatives from the U.S. private sector. Hon. George reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to engage in mutually beneficial partnerships that would deliver tangible impact, particularly in the creation of sustainable digital jobs for Ghanaians. He encouraged the delegation to collaborate with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) to explore available incentives and ensure alignment with the government’s investment and innovation strategies. The visiting team expressed keen interest in supporting youth-focused digital skills programs and outsourcing initiatives aimed at developing Ghana’s talent pool for the global digital economy. The discussions mark a positive step toward deepening U.S.–Ghana cooperation in technology, innovation, and job creation—key pillars for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
