View directly on Instagram “There’s nothing quite like a George Strait show in the lone star state” read the caption on Strait’s Instagram announcement on Friday. “Over a decade since his last show in Lubbock, The King returns to Raiderland with an all Texans line up, including @mirandalambert and @hudsonwestbrook.” “Oh this is awesome,” one of Strait’s fans rejoiced in the comments, while another person gushed, “This is truly the best day of my life.” “Imma have to max out my credit card for this one,” someone else quipped. Another person added, This is HUGE 🤠 and will be the ultimate Texas country night! This is truly worth traveling to 🙌🏼💕🎶.” Strait’s big news comes just weeks after he announced another “one night only” event. On May 2, 2026, Strait will perform at Clemson University’s Death Valley, alongside Cody Johnson and Wyatt Flores. Tickets for the Death Valley show are already on sale, while fans interested in attending the Lubbock, Tex., show can sign up for the artist presale via Strait’s website.
