George Kirby's Girlfriend Cameron's Prediction on Mariners Came True

It has been a wild postseason for the Seattle Mariners, and George Kirby’s girlfriend Cameron Lynch’s Instagram post before the MLB playoffs turned out to be prophetic. As the Mariners prepared for the playoffs, Lynch took to Instagram to celebrate the team’s accomplishments and look forward to the postseason. “Time for a spooky baseball season🍾🍂,” Lynch posted on September 28, 2025, while sharing photos from the Mariners’ celebration after clinching the AL West title. It has been quite a spooky postseason for the Mariners, including two winner-take-all games in the ALDS and ALCS. Seattle needed all of 15 innings to defeat the Detroit Tigers in Game 5 and advance to the ALCS. Things did not get any easier for the Mariners in the ALCS despite beginning the series with a 2-0 lead on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Mariners once again find themselves on the brink of elimination in Game 7 with a trip to the World Series on the line. Spooky baseball season, indeed. George Kirby Looks to Lead the Mariners to the World Series With an ALCS Game 7 Win vs. Blue Jays The good news is that Kirby is taking the mound for the Mariners as Seattle attempts to reach the World Series. Lynch would undoubtedly love to be cheering on Kirby in the World Series. It has not been an ideal ALCS for Kirby as the pitcher looks to bounce back in Game 7. Fox analyst John Smoltz believes there are plenty of reasons to think Kirby can rebound in Toronto. “I think Kirby’s going to bounce back,” Smoltz told Seattle Sports’ “Brock and Salk” during an October 20, interview. “Because a pitcher, when you’ve had something happen to you for the first time that’s never happened, you have a chance… to reset, you make the necessary adjustment, you watch what’s going on. “… I go to the stars that have been carrying this ball club, and in a moment like this, I think they have a chance to deliver a significant blow.” George Kirby on Being the Starting Pitcher in ALCS Game 7: ‘I Love Pitching Under Pressure’ Lynch has been a regular cheering on Kirby and the Mariners this season. Now, Kirby looks to help the Mariners do something the club has never done: play in a World Series. “Super honored (to pitch in Game 7). Yeah, gonna go out there and give it my best,” Kirby told reporters on October 19. “… I love pitching under pressure, and I’m super glad I’m able to get Game 7.” Mariners Manager Dan Wilson on George Kirby: ‘He’s the Guy That We Want in That Situation’ Lynch accompanied Kirby to the MLB All-Star festivities when the pitcher earned the honor in 2023. The commute was not very far as the MLB All-Star Game was in Seattle. It has been a meteoric rise since then for both the club and Kirby. Mariners manager Dan Wilson expressed confidence in Kirby ahead of Game 7. Wilson also added that the game will not all be on Kirby’s shoulders as the team plans to have other veterans ready to pitch as well.
