CELINA, Texas (KXII/Gray News) – A high school teacher in Texas has been placed on leave after showing freshman students how to use an AI tool in a “sexually inappropriate way,” according to a local report. The Dallas Morning News reports that Celina High School wrestling coach and geography teacher Neil Phillips was recently placed on leave after allegations surfaced of inappropriate conduct at a previous job with another district. The investigation began when a video was recently posted on social media allegedly showed Phillips instructing students on how to use an AI tool in a “sexually inappropriate way,” The Dallas Morning News reports. The alleged incident took place while Phillips was working at a school in the Melissa Independent School District. Phillips then went to work at Celina High School. Phillips is just one of several teachers at Celina High School that have been either arrested or placed on leave in the past month. Micheale Clark, a special education aide, was arrested Tuesday and charged with endangering a disabled individual. She allegedly was working with students while under the influence. Last Thursday, Jaiyna Walder was also arrested for allegedly teaching while intoxicated. Earlier in October, Celina ISD employee Kristine Coates was arrested, accused of assaulting a man. Middle school coach Caleb Elliot was arrested on Oct. 10, accused of possessing child pornography and recording students in a locker room. Celina High School head football coach Bill Elliot, who is Caleb Elliot’s father, was placed on non-disciplinary leave. Middle school principal Allison Ginn was also placed on non-disciplinary leave following Caleb Elliot’s arrest.
