Mukul Saran Mathur, General Manager, South Western Railway, chaired a review meeting at the Bengaluru Divisional Office today to assess the progress of various infrastructure works being undertaken across SWR.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the doubling and electrification projects, the Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project, and other critical infrastructure works. Issues related to land acquisition and challenges in project execution were also discussed at length.
The General Manager also reviewed the proposal for the remodelling of KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. Various measures to ease congestion at KSR Bengaluru were deliberated upon. Platform occupation and train operation-related factors concerning KSR Bengaluru, Yesvantpur, SMVT Bengaluru, and Bengaluru Cantonment stations were also analyzed during the meeting.
Ajay Sharma, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction); Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Bengaluru Division; Parikshit Mohanpuria, Additional Divisional Railway Manager; Praveen Kataraki, Additional Divisional Railway Manager; R.K. Singh, Director, KRIDE; Parvesh Kumar, Chief Project Manager, RLDA and other senior officials from the Division attended the meeting.
